Welcome to the Agility Dog Club of Queensland Inc., more commonly known as ADCQ. Our club, and this website, exists because of a love of dogs, fitness, and fun. All dog lovers – individuals, families, adults and children are welcome to be part of ADCQ.
As you explore this site in more detail you’ll find information that includes:
- about the Club and the people involved in running it;
- a diverse range of training courses to fit you and your dog’s needs;
- social and competition events;
- how to become a member ADCQ
Thanks to Ipswich City Council
ADCQ thanks Ipswich City Council for their support of our Membership and Class Management IT project. This has allowed us to track attendance for classes both as part of our COVID-19 Action Plan but also to help with class fees and attendance. It has also allowed us to amalgamate our membership database with our course registrations and class attendance….. making the job easier for our wonderful volunteers to help our members.
ADCQ’s success at the Ipswich Sporting Awards
ADCQ’s commitment towards providing a fun and top notch training environment was recently rewarded at the Ipswich Sporting Awards. The club awarded Sporting Organisation of the Year, and Cathy Slot awarded Volunteer of the Year! Congratulations to the club committee, instructors and members in achieving this, and Cathy for her personal efforts and contributions very fitting of this recognition.

Remember your pets as you start to sweat or sit pretty in air con. 🐶🐱🐹 For domestic pets:🏡 Check they have ample shade and ventilation all day (remember, the sun moves throughout the day - what's shady in the morning won't be shady at midday or in the afternoon).💧 Ensure you pet has plenty of access to cool water, in multiple bowls incase one tips over 🌅 Keep your pet walks to sunrise and sunset, if the ground is too hot for you it's too hot for your pet! 🚗 Never leave your dog in a car (a cracked window makes little difference to the temperature) or on a hot ute tray😎 Add pet appropriate cooling enrichment to their day from frozen pupsicles to a wet towel for them to lie on in a cool and shady spot.Learn more: www.rspcaqld.org.au/blog/pet-care/keeping-all-types-of-pets-cool🐨🦎 For our wildlife:💧 Provide a shallow bowl of water with climbing sticks and/or rocks in a safe place free from potential predators🥵 Recognise heat-stressed animals and call usLearn more: kb.rspca.org.au/knowledge-base/how-can-i-help-wildlife-during-a-heatwave/☎ If you see a sick, injured, trapped or orphaned animal call our RSPCA emergency line, available 24/7, on 1300 ANIMAL (1300 264 625)
